Three days of intense international esports competition reached their apex at the 11th Esports World Championship Seoul 2019 as the medal rounds took place in the DOTA 2, Tekken 7, and eFootball PES 2020 tournaments on Saturday December 14th in Seoul, South Korea.

The Official Venue, VSG Arena, was packed with enthusiastic spectators and athletes from IESF national federations around the world as we entered the final stage of competition— the Finals! National pride was on the line as these athletes battled to bring home a medal, or even better, the Esports World Championship Trophy.

11th Esports World Championship Overall Champion:

The overall champion of the 11th Esports World Championship Seoul 2019, and the winner of the World Championship Trophy is… Japan!

Japan had strong performances in all three official titles. While the 8th place finish in the Dota 2 tournament just barely placed them in the top half of the tournament, silver medal finishes in both the eFootball PES 2020 and Tekken 7 tournament were enough to ensure the top overall spot in the 11th Esport World Championship Seoul 2019. Congratulations Japan!
