BIG LEAGUES OF ELECTRONIC SPORTS

The participating Leagues are: The ”Liga Clasificatoria de México”, organized by the Mexican eSports Association, the ”Liga Regional Colombia”, organized by La Grieta, the ”Liga Top Tier” organized by LoL El Salvador, the ”Torneo Nacional de lnvocadores” organized by LoL Venezuela eSports, and the Liga Tica de Leyendas organized by the Costa Rican eSports League.

16 of the best teams in the region participate in the tournament. The teams were previously selected during the Qualifying Round through the national competitions of the participating countries.

During the qualifying phase, more than 2200 players from the 5 participating territories faced each other for the right to represent their country in the LAN Challenge of Nations.

The format of the tournament distributes the 16 initial teams in groups of 4, where they compete weekly in 8 games of League of Legends, earning points to qualify for the Play-oWs. Viewers can follow all the matches of the tournament through the Twitch and YouTube channels and the oWicial Facebook page of CLANeS.

According to the President of the Liga Tica de Leyendas, Felipe Montoya, this tournament “aims to become, in future editions, the Latin America North regional qualifier towards the eSports World Championship, organized by the leSF (lnternational Federation of Electronic Sports) annually”.

ln addition, he explained this event will be the first competition organized jointly by diWerent countries of the region and symbolizes the commitment made by the participating organizations in favor of the institutionalization and professionalization of Electronic Sports in their countries and in Latin America.

The tournament will end on November 26, when the winner of the title of the Latin American Champion of the LAN Challenge of Nations will be announced for the first time.
