Sweden finalizes its national team

League of Legends

22 teams participated in the online qualifiers and two teams “Knivdiv & Co” and “Meatballs” came to Stockholm for the final event. Team Meatballs consisting partly of the Swedish national team from Jakarta last year started out by winning game one. Knivdiv & Co came back in game two and forced out a third and final game. Knivdiv & Co went on to win the final game and will represent Sweden in Busan.

Counter-strike: Global Offensive

Two online qualifiers consisting of a total of 56 teams finished with the two teams “Team Refuse” and “duttdutt” going head to head in the finals in Stockholm. The first game was played on the map “Train” where Team Refuse secured a victory with the score 16-13. The second map “Cobblestone” was won by duttdutt with the numbers 16-11. The final map was “Cache” which duttdutt managed to take home with a score of 16-10.

Tekken 7

The Tekken tournament was a separate event from the team games. A smaller offline event run by the Swedish Tekken community brought players to Gothenburg in late August. The tournament ended with Adam Ayachi as the champion and Sweden’s representative in Busan.
